selfhelp for your immune system

Your immune system plays an important part in the condition of your overall health and your response to illness.

Whether you have become ill with a virus, developed a tumor, or suffer from hypersensitivities or allergies, all of these are influenced by the health of your immune system.

When you are in good health you are able to resist, or recover quickly from the myriad of viruses and bacteria that you are coming into contact with each day. You may feel a little below par for a few hours while your immune system is dealing with the invader. You may even succumb, but within 3-5 days you will have recovered without any complications or return of the illness.

If on the other hand you ‘catch every cold that is going around, and your recovery is prolonged this indicates an under functioning immune system.

A healthy immune system recognizes aberrant cells and sends the message out to destroy them before they set up house and develop into a tumor.

A healthy immune system doesn’t become hypersensitive and overreact to common substances in our environment such as pollen, dust, molds, foods, or animal fur.

A healthy immune system doesn’t turn against its own body by producing too many T –cells which cannot differentiate between harmless cells and invader cells which can then lead to the inflammation and pain of conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis, MS, and other auto immune disorders.

It is a great feeling when you know that you can improve your state of health and not be resigned to suffering and putting up with a life that could be so much better.

When you see yourself as not only a physical body with symptoms to be cured but as a whole person with emotional, mental, and spiritual needs as well, can you then create good health in a lasting way.
